Tunisie: nouveaux billets de 5 et 50 dinars 2022

The 50-dinars note measures 158 x 79mm and is printed on paper, with a protective varnish coat applied after printing.

The primary colour scheme of the note is brown. The prominent image on the note is a portrait of Hedi Nouira, an important leader in Tunisia’s movement for independence, on the front of the note. He founded the Central Bank of Tunisia and later served as Prime Minister. On the reverse side of the note is an image of the Central Bank of Tunisia.

Security features on the note include:

  • Watermark: the portrait of Hedi Nouira and the number “50”.
  • 3D windowed security thread “RAPID HD® “: when the banknote is tilted up and down, a double optical effect is produced with the appearance of the number “50” and a dynamic movement of two bars moving in two opposite directions on a three-dimensional background.
  • Spark® Live element: a patch located in the upper left corner containing the number “50”. The patch changes colour from magenta to green and shows one or two moving rings, depending on the viewing angle.
  • Five raised bars for the benefit of the partially sighted and the blind (in the right and left borders on the front of the note).

New 5-dinars banknote: Imagery and Security

The dimensions of the 5-dinars banknote are 143 x 73 mm. It is printed on paper, with a protective coat of varnish applied after printing.

With a primarily green colour scheme, this note depicts Tunisian architectural engineer Slaheddine El Amami on the front. He made important contributions in the fields of hydraulics and agricultural scientific research. The reverse side features an image of the Roman aqueducts of Zaghouan.

Security features of the note include:
