Visitors can now use UK, US and Schengen-area country visas to get a Saudi Arabia visitor visa at airport arrival halls, regardless of their citizenship.
The Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage announced this last Thursday.
The new regulation states that visitors must have previously used the visa to travel to any of the listed Schengen countries or the UK and the US.
The new scheme supports the visa launch last September.
Citizens of 49 countries are allowed to apply for an e-visa online or get a visa on arrival.
The validity of the visa is one year, with more than one entry.
Visitors cannot stay in the country for more than 90 days in a year when all the multiple listings are combined.
According to officials, that was the last step Saudi Arabia took to attract more tourists from different countries of the world.
