Portugal released a newly designed driver’s license last Monday, the 11th of January.
The license includes holographic printing and a two-dimensional QR barcode.
According to Jorge Delgado, the Secretary of State for Infrastructure the document offers more security guarantees and contributes to the fight against fraud.
This new driver’s license will end the Agricultural Tractor License, because that will be included in the driver’s license.
The public administration’s application (https://id.gov.pt), allows you to save and access your license.
This app can also be used to show your license to the authorities instead of a physical document.
