Did you know that many North American states and provinces have driver license reciprocity agreements with certain foreign countries? When such an agreement exists between a foreign country and a North American jurisdiction, a driver from that country can exchange their foreign driver’s license for a regular license in that U.S. or Canadian jurisdiction, without any testing or training.

The American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) recently released an interactive map illustrating which jurisdictions throughout the United States and Canada have reciprocal driver license agreements with other countries. The map is available here on the AAMVA website.
