Dutch authorities have decided to reopen several overseas visa application centres which were previously closed due to the coronavirus.

VFS Global says the Netherlands’ passport and ID services have resumed in Chicago in the US.

According to the visa services company, the country’s visa application centre in Tokyo, Japan, is also accepting limited short-stay category applications.

A notice by VFS Global added that its centre in Bangkok, Thailand, has also started accepting limited short- and long-stay category applications, while its centre in Moscow, Russia, is accepting short-stay applications.

Schengen Visa Info reports visa centres in Nador and Rabat in Morocco are open for passport return services only.

Passport pass back services are available at the following centres:

  • Accra, Ghana
  • Amman, Jordan
  • Beirut, Lebanon
  • Dubai, United Arab Emirates
  • Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

In Manila in the Philippines, seafarers can now apply for Dutch seafarer’s visa. Other EU countries have also reopened their visa centres in the Philippines.

According to Schengen Visa Info, the Dutch Embassy in Dublin has also resumed its consular services as of 20 July at a limited capacity.
