Passport holders from Ghana with an ordinary or diplomatic passport will no longer require a visa for the following six countries:

  • India
  • Iran
  • Colombia
  • Equatorial Guinea
  • Hungary
  • Morocco

Ghana’s parliament approved this visa waiver deal last week.

The West African country already had been added by South Africa’s Department of Home Affairs to a list of seven countries whose citizens can visit South Africa without the need of a visa.

The South African visa waiver covers only diplomatic passport holders, but not ordinary passport holders.

Meanwhile, Ghana Mission says it expects the US government to soon lift the visa restrictions placed on Ghanaian travellers to the USA.
