The Dominican Republic’s new passport is packed with security features in the hopes of thwarting organised crime.
According to Dominican Today, the features include:
- A watermark
- A safety sheet
- The threads with guilloche print
- 3D florescence
- A 50 percent paper in cotton and 50 percent in wood pulp
The new passport will cost the same and is designed by Thales Groups (Gemalto), a software company certified by the Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), and is a world leader in digital security.
