Curaçao and Sint Maarten, both located in the Caribbean, are independent states within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten (CBCS) will replace the Netherlands Antillean guilder (ANG) with the Caribbean guilder (XCG), on March 31, 2025.

The Caribbean guilder and the Netherlands Antillean guilder banknotes will circulate alongside each other for use in cash transactions for three months after the Caribbean guilder is introduced. The Netherlands Antillean guilder will expire as a legal tender July 1, 2025.

Netherlands Antillean guilder banknotes can be exchanged at commercial banks until March 31, 2026, and at the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten until March 31, 2055.
