The National Bank of Cambodia (NBC) has issued a new 15,000-riel banknote to mark the 15th anniversary of King Norodom Sihamoni’s coronation.
The new note displays a portrait of the monarch on the front.
A photo taken with his parents – former King Norodom Sihanouk and former Queen Norodom Monineath Sihanouk – is shown on the reverse.
The main colours of the new banknote are purple, lavender and blue.
China.org.cn reports there has been no confirmation on when the new money will go into wider circulation.
