Frank Schmalz

Frank Schmalz has been working on smartcard projects with various applications such as payment, ePassports and USB-tokens for 15 years. As Director Product Management at Veridos – the joint venture of Giesecke & Devrient GmbH and Bundes­druckerei GmbH – he is responsible for innovation management, emerging products, business development and tech­nical marketing. He is a member of the Eurosmart Identity working group, has been contributing numerous articles to ID journals and is a regular speaker at conferences. Frank holds a diploma in electronic engineering.
